Cybersecurity Research Analyst

Responsibilities Include:

This role will report to the Cybersecurity Research Director. It entails a variety of tasks to support the growth and development of WSJ Pro Cybersecurity, a product that encompasses a daily newsletter, events, training packages and data-centric projects to provide executive decision-making support.

This person will be given responsibility from day one to find creative solutions to business challenges and contribute to a high-visibility product. A deep knowledge of cybersecurity is not expected, though an understanding of the broad issues, particularly in a business context is preferred. In this role you will have plenty of chance to learn and will have access to experts keen to share their knowledge.

You will be expected to understand and leverage the significant resources that already live in Dow Jones's Data Strategy team to build solutions, automate workflows and highlight the importance of our data and news products to a global audience.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

Broad understanding of cybersecurity themes and a keen interest in expanding that knowledge

Flexible and innovative, able to respond to customer requirements

Excellent organizational skills

Presentation skills and willingness to speak in front of an audience in person or remotely

Ability to translate strategic vision into actions and to work independently

Open source research and data collation skills

Ability to interpret data, detect trends and communicate information effectively

An ability to automate workflows

Strong writing skills

Ability to work to deadlines

Ability to handle large volumes of information.

Ability to identify wholly with Dow Jones’ service obligations to its clients

Good planning and organization skills

Ability to accept feedback as a learning opportunity

Ability to build and maintain good working relationships

Education to degree level

Location:

We will consider any location, but prefer locations where we have offices and existing research infrastructure, specifically New York, Princeton or Barcelona.
