Dow Jones Manager, Due Diligence Delivery and Quality in BARCELONA, Spain

Job Description:

Dow Jones is looking for a Delivery and Quality Manager to join our Due Diligence team responsible for the creation of high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using a combination of publicly-available sources and proprietary databases. As Delivery and Quality Manager, you will support the end-to-end processing of Due Diligence reports including intake, assignment planning, quality assurance, and delivery. You will work closely with the global Delivery team ensuring that client requests are correctly received and processed in a timely manner. You will also coordinate your team of Quality Analysts ensuring that our content and sources are kept up to date and that reports meet client requirements in terms of accuracy and timeliness. You will report to the Associate Director, Due Diligence Quality

You Will

  • Assist in report assignment processes, including the development of a robust assignment workflow to ensure optimum capacity available across the global teams.

  • Provide regular and transparent communication of team objectives and goals.

  • Supervise, support, and develop a team to maximize potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation.

  • Assume primary responsibility for the Due Diligence team mailbox backup coverage ensuring all internal and external communications are responded to in a timely manner.

  • Ensure Due Diligence reports meet client requirements in terms of content quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.

  • Assist in scoping and managing potential ad-hoc projects outside the usual DD scope including assisting the Associate Director, Delivery, Sales, and Product with proposals including RFPs, and any custom requirements related to projects.

  • Develop methodologies and processes relating to report intake and delivery and client/sales communication.

  • Assist in the oversight of the Due Diligence team's mailbox policies and standards with a focus on improving the Delivery team workflows.

  • Have an automation mindset by initiating and driving change to existing Delivery and Quality team workflows and methodologies to create efficiencies and quality improvements with shared benefits across the global team.

  • Partner with Risk & Compliance research team leadership to facilitate training and onboarding.

  • Provide clear, responsive, and proactive communication to clients, ensuring requests from clients and prospective clients are dealt with effectively and in a timely way.

  • Coordinate pricing and TATs with service providers and key vendors for new report type launches, scope enhancements/reductions, and improve overall workflow and quality of deliverables.

  • Support training of future members of staff.

You Have

  • Excellent English writing skills

  • Knowledge of and interest in international affairs and politics

  • Ability to coordinate appropriate internal resources

  • Resourcefulness to readily adapt to changing customer expectations

  • Knowledge of and interest in international affairs and politics

  • An openness to different views and opinions and an appreciation for team diversity

Preferred

  • Previous experience in the field of Due Diligence

  • Specialist legal, business or financial knowledge
