Dow Jones Director, Content Curation in PRINCETON, New Jersey

Job Description:

Position Title: Director, Content Curation

Department: Data Strategy

Functional Area: Factiva Content

Reports to: VP, Factiva Content

Dow Jones is looking for a Director of Content Curation to lead a global team of skilled curators in the creation and delivery of curated Factiva content features, including My Company Today newsletters and Factiva Expert Searches. You will provide the necessary leadership, support, coaching and training of team members to ensure performance excellence and quality output. You will define and communicate the team’s purpose and direction, ensuring alignment with Dow Jones’s vision and values and Factiva’s ambition and roadmap.

You will:

  • Provide direct supervision to multiple regional teams, including coaching and mentoring, to ensure team engagement and operational success.

  • Lead innovation to bring constant improvements to our workflows and data offering in an extremely dynamic environment.

  • Identify trends and develop and implement plans for improvement to ensure required customer satisfaction levels. Interacting regularly with Sales and clients. Proactively follow up on opportunities, answer questions, encourage sales to include the team in client meetings.

  • Manage Content Curation assignments within agreed timelines. This includes the ability to interpret client requirements and develop curation methods and practices to meet client needs.

  • Ensure the delivery across Objective and Key Results to meet commitments to internal and external clients.

  • Recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ appropriate candidates as needed.

  • Inspire and develop your team to maximize their potential and ensure the best content and capabilities possible.

You have:

  • A knowledge of Factiva content, its functionalities and its importance to Dow Jones customers.

  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience including proven ability to motivate and lead teams to performance excellence.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a global audience in writing and speech.

  • Strategic leadership and willingness to innovate.

  • Keen problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate issues and conflicts and make timely decisions that benefit both the customer and the business.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and high quality standards.

  • An openness to different views and opinions and an appreciation for team diversity.
