About the Role:
Dow Jones is looking for a Market Data Analyst to join our Market Data team responsible for powering market data across WSJ, Barron's Group, Investor's Business Daily, Dow Jones Newswires and Factiva. As a Market Data Analyst, you will work with data, business and technology partners across the organization to ensure inbound and outbound delivery of market data.
You will report to the Market Data Director.
You Will:
Analyze data from third-party vendors to ensure product needs are met
Prepare data requirements for engineering and content teams and validate results
Evaluate new data sources and make recommendations to leadership
Contribute to the design and execution of plans to onboard content
Improve workflows through automation to improve internal operations and data quality
Play an important role in business and technology-initiated projects
You Have:
At least 3 years experience in the market data industry preferably focused on exchange-traded content and financial data
Proficiency in data gathering, analysis and handling issues
Experience working on teams responsible for large projects
Experience with how global financial markets function
An openness to different views and opinions and an appreciation for team diversity.
FISD Financial Information Associate (FIA) certification, which is not required but provides an advantage
