Dow Jones Business Manager in SINGAPORE, Singapore

Job Description:

The Strategic Services team provides key strategic functions across Data Strategy, including Business Management, Content Strategy, Metadata Management, Quality and Solutions. The Strategic Services group houses all non-research capabilities within Data Strategy.

Business Management focuses on internal projects and Data Strategy policies. Business Managers drive the Data Strategy leadership teams toward a more productive, efficient future and reduce the burden of non-delivery work for the majority of our staff.

The Business Manager reports to the Head of Business Management. The individual will be part of Strategic Services’ Business Management team. You will implement, organise and manage Data Strategy’s internal programs and activities in Singapore and Shanghai offices. Oversee the day to day office operations relevant to Data Strategy. Additionally, you will assist the Head of Business Management to conceptualize, plan and execute broader Data Strategy-wide programs and tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Cross-functional responsibilities include planning, operational and budget management

  • Support and lead management activities of Data Strategy’s Singapore and Shanghai teams

  • Help drive a culture of continuous improvement

  • Establish and manage processes related to Data Strategy-wide initiatives, including Business Continuity, training and People team programs

  • Represent Data Strategy APAC’s needs in departmental planning

  • Own specific projects as defined

Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of diverse business processes, including people management and finance operations

  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization

  • Proven ability to multitask

  • Very well organized

  • Strong knowledge of Google suite of products; knowledge of design software applications and tools is preferred

  • Experience with people or project management is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree required
